TUTORIAL HOW TO COPY .edat FILE: (Credit for this tutorial goes to PropJoe)

Spoiler:

1. Transfer *.edat file to an external FAT32 media (pendrive/USB HDD) or over FTP.
If .edat file comes in folder "exdata" with FIX then you can take *.edat file out or copy the whole "exdata" folder.
Certain games sometimes have multiple *.edat files so its more convenient to copy one "exdata" folder then 5-6 .edat files separately.
Important note: DO NOT RENAME .edat files.
2. Use MultiMan’s File Manager to copy the *.edat file to PS3 here: /dev_hdd0/home/0000000x/exdata/ (here are *.edat files)
(Navigate one step earlier if you gonna copy "exdata" folder with *.edat file inside or you will end up copying "exdata" folder from PC to "exdata" folder on PS3.
You MUST copy *.edat files from FIX in "exdata" folder on PS3. As shown in the path.)
The folder "0000000x" is your user profile id. And "x" is number assigned to user id (like 1, 2, 4...)
If you have only one profile — that is the only folder you’ll see under /home/ catalog.
(Mine is 00000002 and for my guests 00000004 - so I have two profiles - users.)
In case you have multiple profiles - users, copy the *.edat file to profile that you will be playing the game from. (In my case - 00000002.)
Or if you want the game to be available to all users then copy *.edat file/s to all users "exdata" folders.
If the folder "exdata" is not present on your PS3 that means you’ve never been logged to PSN.
Then create it manually on your PC (or MM if you know how) and put games *.edat file in it.
Transfer "exdata" folder in the same way as edat files but take notice at chapter 2. second row.
3. After copying edat files, install game .pkg (apply the patch or fix if present) through Install Package Files option in XMB.
4. Play full version of your game through XMB!

MM FILE MANAGER AND EDAT FILES:
1. Open MM and start FILE MANAGER.
2. On the right window navigate to /dev_hdd0/home/0000000x/exdata/
(Take notice of chapter 2. second row above.)
3. On left window navigate to /dev_USB000/ - this is your USB HDD (left port 000, right port 006).
Open it and navigate to your *.edat file (* is the name of file).
4. Select it and then press "O". Menu will appear, then select COPY option. Confirm with "X".
PS3 will say DO YOU WANT TO COPY THIS FILE *** HERE TO HERE ***? (watch the path). Confirm again with "X".
File is copied. That's it. Now, you can check on the right window if new *.edat file is there.
5. Exit to GAMES menu (to upper left). Exit from MM and you are in XMB.
6. Install the game pkg (and patch or fix if present) and start in XMB and play!
